Aaron Johnson | President & CEO

Aaron Johnson has two decades of experience in the energy industry and currently serves as Kinetrex President and CEO. Since the creation of Kinetrex in July 2013, Aaron and his team have established the Company as the leading manufacturer of LNG in the Midwest. Prior to Kinetrex, Aaron worked at Citizens Energy Group in roles of increasing responsibility over more than 20 years, starting as an intern in the gas supply street crew, thereafter working in customer service, accounting, treasury and legal, where he finished his Citizens’ tenure as Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development. Aaron was the architect of Citizens’ transformation to a large combination utility with his leadership of the Indianapolis water and wastewater utility acquisition, the largest single water and wastewater utility system acquisition in U.S. history. Aaron has a law degree from Indiana University’s McKinney School of Law, as well as an undergraduate degree in accounting and an MBA from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis. Aaron received the Indiana CPA Society’s high score award in 1993 obtaining the State’s second highest score on the November 1993 CPA examination and was recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal as a member of the “40 under 40 Class of 2011”.

 

Craig Moore | Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer

Craig Moore has more than a decade of experience in the transportation and energy industries with a focus on growth and business development. Craig is currently responsible for the day-to-day business activities of Kinetrex, including operations, logistics, marketing and purchasing. He also coordinates the Company’s strategic planning efforts. Under Craig’s leadership, Kinetrex commissioned the start-up of its second natural gas liquefaction plant, added new and expanded existing customer relationships and identified new sources of revenue. Craig has also been instrumental in recruiting, hiring and managing the Company’s existing operating team.

From 2012 through 2015, Craig was Citizens Energy Group’s Director of Corporate Development. During his time at Citizens Energy Group, Craig was involved with the acquisition of Citizens Water and Wastewater of Westfield, the acquisition of Citizens of South Madison, the oil drilling reinvestment plan for Citizens Resource Production and the formation of Kinetrex Energy.

Prior to his time at Citizens Energy Group, Craig held several positions at Cummins, Inc., the largest independent diesel and natural gas engine manufacturer in the world. At Cummins, Craig was the General Manager of a startup air handling valve business where he developed the business plan, strategy and execution plan for the business. His responsibilities included managing a global team in the U.S., India and China, covering product engineering, manufacturing, marketing, supply-chain and quality. As the Director of Acquisitions and Alliances at Cummins, Craig evaluated internal and external growth options in filtration, after treatment and air handling components in order to take advantage of increasing emission regulations. Prior to that assignment, Craig was also a Corporate Six Sigma Black Belt and completed more than ten six sigma projects for Cummins with combined annual savings in excess of $4 million dollars per year. This led to improving risk management and customer service for the Corporate, Engine, Power Generation and Component businesses.

Before joining Cummins, Craig served in various financial roles inside and outside of the treasury department for Allstate Insurance Company.

Craig holds an MBA from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Finance from Ball State University’s Miller College of Business. Craig attended the Harvard Business School Executive Training Program on Building New Businesses in Established Organizations in 2011. Craig also participated in Hoosier Fellows, a leadership excellence program from Indiana University in 2015.

 

Terry Peak | Senior Vice President of PNG Operations

Terry Peak is a senior operations executive with more than 35 years of experience in the energy industry. Terry is responsible for Kinetrex’s natural gas marketing operations, including gas acquisition, risk management and customer acquisition.

Prior to joining Kinetrex, Terry served in a number of executive positions at ProLiance Energy, LLC, including President and Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer. Terry was responsible for overall day-to-day operations, including supply and transportation operations, trading, risk management, marketing and sales, human resources and information technology. He was also responsible for business development at ProLiance and was the President of the ProLiance subsidiary that invested in and owned midstream pipeline assets. Terry was involved in the original negotiations and formation of ProLiance in 1996 and helped grow the company from a startup to more than $1.5 billion in annual revenues and $450 million in cumulative earnings over the 17-year history of the company until its sale in June 2013. Also during that time, ProLiance grew its marketing book to almost 2,000 customers at 4,100 locations and 300 BCF of annual sales.

Before ProLiance, Terry spent 18 years with Citizens Energy Group, where he held positions of Vice President of Operations for Citizens Energy Services Corporation (a predecessor to ProLiance), Director of Gas Supply and Director of Engineering.

Terry holds a J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law, an M.B.A. from the University of Indianapolis and a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
